Fall Hair Colors to Fawn Over

When the leaves start to change color, some people get the urge to make a few changes to their appearance. Namely, they get the itch to change their hair color, and for good reason. Fall is the perfect time to change up your hair hue, as the blonde streaks of summer don’t always mesh well with the cooler tones of October, November, and December. Here are this season’s must-have hair colors.

Rust Red

Red is always a great hair color to rock for Fall, but with a wide array of shades, it can be hard to find the right one to pull off. This season, stay away from the fire engine reds and opt for a more toned down rust red. Rust red has shades of deep orange and light reds to give hair a look that’s both understated and glamorous.

Spicy Black

Part auburn and part jet black, spicy black is a color that brings an incredibly amount of depth to a standard jet black ‘do. In fact, some stylists even choose to add auburnish brown hints to the bottom of the hair strands to give a nice slight color transition from top to bottom.

Dark Roots

Years ago, showing dark roots with lighter strands would have been a fashion faux pas that was unforgivable. Now, it’s one of the go-to looks for this Fall. This look works best when you opt for dark roots that fade into a lighter shade of your natural roots.

Sepia

It used to only be a filter for photos, but now sepia is the hot color for Fall hair. A cross between a warm brown and a soft red, sepia is perfect for Fall as it complements the changing scenery outdoors and can transition easily into Spring.
